Resumo:This monograph aims to analyze legal education in the Law course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Thus, it seeks to identify whether the Pedagogical Project currently in force presents itself as a tool capable of fostering the education as a practice of freedom, which meets the ideals of an emancipatory, plural and interdisciplinary education capable of transcending merely professional training. The relevance of the theme arises from the need to confront the traditional and bankarized model present in legal education, based on the teacher as the central figure and sole holder of knowledge and on the absence of interdisciplinarity. The hypothesis is that the UFRN Law Pedagogical Project, as an instrument for the construction of the course, does not meet the ideals of education as a practice of freedom, as it does not have an educational process capable of promoting a truly humanistic education.
