Resumo:The research regards the systematization of a methodology for the use of digital technology to produce bilingual portfolios in the teaching of Visual Arts for deaf people. The portfolio as a pedagogical instrument is recognized as having the potential to be composed of several documents and activities, jointly constructed between educator and student. This research employs the Triangular Approach as the conception of art/education for the use of the portfolio, which is composed of three guiding pillars: reading images, contextualizing productions, and making art. To address accessibility, this work adopts the paradigm of the social model, whose characteristics are: recognizing society's responsibility in creating barriers for individuals, which is responsible for eliminating them; considering the participation of the subjects themselves to be important in the propositions to be elaborated on a given public; and emphasizing the importance of teamwork. Additionally, this work adopts a socio-anthropological conception to consider the design of the bilingual portfolio based on the language, identity, and culture of this public in order to take the deaf subject into account. The research methodology used is action research, a type of empirically based social research, in which researcher and participants work cooperatively. The organization of the stages is divided into planning, action, reflection, and evaluation, in an iterative cycle according to the perceived results. The digital technology for building the bilingual portfolios is the cell phone application XRecorder, that allows you to record notes in Sign Language on the artworks produced. The research participants are deaf students, and the study consists of two groups of them: 1) adults aged between 28 and 35 who are currently employed in an occupation, and 2) teenagers and/or young adults between the ages of 13 and 20 who are still enrolled in school. In addition to the work of the Sign Language translator-interpreter and his/her relationship with the educator, content presented and students, the collaboration of a deaf person to help during classes, are important for the quality of teaching and learning in this context. The use of the application proves to be effective to produce the bilingual portfolio, as it allows to carry out and arrange textual production tasks in Libras. Furthermore, the application enables the insertion of Portuguese words, aiding in the teaching and learning of the visual arts as well as articulating the three Triangular Approach pillars and facilitating formative assessment.
