Resumo:The present work aimed to highlight the musical learning trajectory of students of the 3rd year of CIART in semester 2022.1, analyzing the role of the child and the teaching role in this process. For a better understanding and theoretical basis, studies and authors such as Madalozzo (2013; 2019); Birth (2014; 2017; 2019); Sarmento (2000; 2005; 2018); Sousa (2019; 2022); Vygotsky (1998a; 1998b; 2007), on the themes Musical Learning in Childhood, Child Protagonism, Learning in Childhood from a socio-historical perspective. Case study procedures were carried out and the methodology comprised the qualitative/mixed approach of an exploratory-descriptive nature and had as techniques and data instruments a semi-structured interview script a conversation type semi-structured interview. The result of the research emphasizes the role of the child as the center of explanations and that their speeches are fundamental, recognizing the importance of music, and that CIART, in its teaching role, performs a work in which children's protagonism is valued.
