Resumo:School visits are essential for museums to accomplish their social role in non-formal education. This work investigated the process of scheduling school visits at the Câmara Cascudo Museum (MCC) between 2017 and 2020, as well as the information covered therein. An exploratory qualitative research was carried out using the field study method, articulating participatory observation, documentary research and unstructured interviews. As result, it presented a flowchart of the process of scheduling school visits, a flowchart of the reception of school visits at museum and a class diagram which organizes information covered in this process. It was possible to identify 8 opportunities for improvement that involve: integration of activities, sources and information; loss and inconsistencies of information; needs to review information used; process inefficiency; and expansion of museum-school interaction. These results can help MCC and other museums to improve museum management
