Resumo: | The main objective of this work is to assess the importance of family in the teaching and learning process for children and how the school can contribute to strengthen ties between family and school. In order to achieve this goal, there are topics approached such as the history of childhood, Ariès (1981); the relationship between childhood and school, Rousseau (2010); how parents see the education of children, the factors that influence this process and other issues, Nogueira (2011) Picanço (2009) and others; the ideal education for this century, Morin (2000); literacy and writing, Soares (2004, 2012) and the importance of interaction with others, Ivic (2010) based on Vygotsky. This work is considered relevant to students in pedagogy, teachers from different areas and theme scholars. |
