Show conduct a field survey at the Municipal School Egídio Fernandes de Souza in the city of Serrinha dos Pintos, countryside, with the purpose of identifying whether the playful has been worked in the institution and how it is used. It cites the importance of playfulness for more successful learning. The research is bibliographical and of quantitative qualitative nature. For the research, an interview was conducted with two teachers of the institution. We observe the responses of the teachers some difficulty both to answer the questions. However, one of the teachers proved to be much more aware of the importance of playfulness to student learning, while the other provided comments and troubling responses that can compromise the development of children. Thus, we conclude that often the playful is still used in the classroom as a mere distraction, without a plan directed learning, even one of the most studied elements in the context of pedagogy. Este trabalho analisa a utilização do lúdico como um facilitador de aprendizagem e desenvolvimento social da criança. Busca também discutir conceitos teóricos sobre a ludicidade e uma breve distinção entre o jogo, o brinquedo e a brincadeira. Para tanto, utilizamos textos de autores como Kishimoto, (2001), Almeida (2003), Vygotsky, (1984) Brougère, (2002), Brasil (1999) e (1998). Apresenta uma pesquisa de campo na Escola Municipal Egídio Fernandes de Souza, localizada na cidade de Serrinha dos Pintos, zona rural, com o propósito de identificar se o lúdico é trabalhado na instituição e de que forma é utilizado. Cita a importância da ludicidade para maior êxito da aprendizagem. A pesquisa e do tipo bibliográfica de cunho qualitativo. Para tanto, foram realizadas entrevistas com duas professoras da instituição. Observamos nas respostas, destas professoras, dificuldades em responder as perguntas. Entretanto, uma das professoras mostrou-se bem mais consciente da importância da ludicidade para o aprendizado do aluno, enquanto que a outra apresentou comentários e respostas pouco conscientes do teor científico da ludicidade.
