Resumo:The objective of this work is to promote a didactic sequence through the use of fables as a strategy for the development of values in early childhood education. Returning to the re-signification of values in the teaching-learning process, the work occurs in the 1st grade class of Elementary School I, whose research comes from the work done at the Escola Municipal Professor Vera Lucia Soares Barros, located in the city of Natal, more precisely in the neighborhood of Pajuçara. The school has two directors (pedagogical and administrative), 35 teachers, serves 600 students divided between the morning and afternoon shifts, besides directing some projects of reading, writing and literacy. Considering that the child is a historical subject and is inserted in a society, from an early age it is important to live with values that make it reflexive and make it a social transforming agent. Dealing with values is relevant in view of the quality of life of the child, in the family, in the school and in society.
