Resumo:This research aims to present the ways to work to photography (act of photographing) as a daily record of the curriculum of the school with students from the early years of elementary school, in a public school in the city of Caicó, state of Rio Grande do Norte. As well as the contribution that photography brings to the learning process from image reading. Thus, the study was conducted as a form of a qualitative research. The research aims to present the history of photography since its inception, the impact it has brought to society, showing how photography is used in the field of history, science and arts and how it can be used to record the daily life of the curriculum. The school participating in this research is the Walfredo Gurgel Municipal School, located in the municipality of Caicó, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Methodologically the research was constituted as an action research, based on the theoretical-methodological writings of Minayo (2009), Sontag (2004), Rouillé (2009), Ferraço (2008), Alves (2002), among others that served to ground us in a way directed to the ultimate goal. The results of this work allowed the understanding of the relationship that is established between photography and daily life, thus allowing the act of photographing like the purpose of recording the daily life experienced in the school curriculum.
