| Resumo: | The present work has as main objective to analyze the influence that the Supervised Internship has in the initial teacher training, with students of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN, Center of Higher Education of the Seridó - CERES, campus Caicó – RN, based on qualitative research. Authors like Coelho (2007), Pimenta and Lima (2008), among others, were taken as basis for the theoretical reference. The project provides a brief history of how the need arose to carry out the Supervised Internship and how it was implemented in the undergraduate courses, as well as data obtained through an empirical study and reflections developed during the Internship subjects, as a student of the Degree in Mathematics. The research had as stages the elaboration and application of a questionnaire with graduates who concluded all the stages of the Supervised Internship, in order to identify its influence for the future teachers. The analysis of the results showed that the academics believe that the Internship is an important and decisive moment in the training, being a relevant factor for the trainee's choice to be an educator and what sense will be given to the possible profession. |
