Resumo:Over the years, the growing population motorization led Brazilian cities to configurations that favor motorized transport, leaving aside the importance of pedestrians and cyclists in the development of road networks. In this sense, this paper aims to present an alternative that provides greater mobility, safety and accessibility to all road users, bringing together the concepts of “complete streets” and “leisure spaces and streets”. The proposal is validated by applying it to Francisco Rafael de Oliveira Street, in the stretch that delimits the Campo Grande Dam, located in the municipality of São Paulo do Potengi. The application demonstrates the possibility of offering a public road space that provides equity in the use of the road among its users, ensuring self-propelled mobility in harmony with that of active modes and with the practice of social, cultural and sporting activities.
