description ABSTRACT This article aims to report an experience lived during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic at the Santos Dumont State School, Parnamirim/RN, relating the Teaching of History and the challenges of using the educational methodological tools that ICTs provided to teachers and students. Currently, the universe that encompasses information technologies gains in an accelerated way in our daily lives and in the context of teaching, ICTs had their awakening with education professionals so that we use technological methods more intensively in our lesson plans. ICTs are considered means of connecting the school to advances in technological resources, such as the creation of software, telecommunications and the creation of research in the technological area, which are fundamental for the development of society. New technologies provide innovative teaching resources that certainly attract students who experience the digital age with great enthusiasm and interest. The specific challenge for implementing the applicability of ICTs in education is the role that the teacher will play, as we still see resistance on the part of some teachers to using ICTs in their classes. History teaching has been associating the so-called traditional practices of analysis of historical sources and textbooks with ICTs.

Actualmente, el universo que engloba a las tecnologías de la información gana de manera acelerada en nuestra vida cotidiana y en el contexto de la enseñanza, las TIC tuvieron su despertar con los profesionales de la educación para que utilicemos métodos tecnológicos de forma más intensiva en nuestros planes de estudio. Las TIC son consideradas medios de vinculación de la escuela a los avances de los recursos tecnológicos, como la creación de software, las telecomunicaciones y la creación de investigaciones en el área tecnológica, que son fundamentales para el desarrollo de la sociedad. Las nuevas tecnologías proporcionan recursos didácticos innovadores que sin duda atraen a estudiantes que viven la era digital con gran entusiasmo e interés. El desafío específico para implementar la aplicabilidad de las TIC en la educación es el rol que jugará el docente, ya que aún vemos resistencia por parte de algunos docentes a utilizar las TIC en sus clases. La enseñanza de la historia viene asociando las denominadas prácticas tradicionales de análisis de fuentes históricas y libros de texto con las TIC.     RESUMO Este artigo tem como objetivo relatar uma experiência vivenciada durante o período da pandemia COVID-19 na Escola Estadual Santos Dumont, Parnamirim/RN, relacionando o Ensino de História e os desafios de utilização das ferramentas metodológicas educacionais que as TICs proporcionaram aos professores e alunos. Atualmente, o universo que abrange as tecnologias da informação ganha de forma acelerada o nosso dia a dia e no contexto do ensino as TICs tiveram seu despertar junto aos profissionais da educação de forma que utilizamos com mais intensidade os métodos tecnológicos em nossos planejamentos de aulas. As TICs são consideradas meios de ligar a escola aos avanços dos recursos tecnológicos, como por exemplo, a criação de softwares, das telecomunicações e a criação de pesquisa na área tecnológica que são fundamentais para o desenvolvimento da sociedade. As novas tecnologias proporcionam recursos didáticos inovadores que de certo atraem os alunos que vivenciam a era digital com bastante entusiasmo e interesse. O desafio pontual para efetivação da aplicabilidade das TICs na educação é o papel que o professor vai exercer, pois vemos ainda uma resistência por parte de alguns docentes em utilizar as TICs em suas aulas.
