It has as main objective to analyze some aspects of the personal and familiar trajectories of students who had an improbable academic success, but reached high levels of school performance. O presente trabalho é fruto de análise e reflexão acerca das representações de Leitura e escola e suas implicações no Sucesso Escolar de crianças de classes populares e reflete a preocupação que tivemos em identificar as representações de pais, professores e alunos sobre a temática em questão, tendo como sujeitos da pesquisa, especialmente, crianças de origem popular e pequena herança de uma cultura escolar do ensino fundamental de escolas públicas de Cruzeta-RN. Ele tem como objetivo principal analisar alguns aspectos das trajetórias pessoais e familiares de alunos que tiveram um sucesso acadêmico improvável, porém alcançaram altos níveis de desempenho escolar.
