The present work is the result of analysis and reflection on the representations of Reading and school and its implications in the School Success of children of popular classes and reflects the concern that we had in identifying the representations of parents, teachers and students on the subject in question, having as subjects of the research, especially, children of popular origin and small inheritance of a school culture of elementary school in Cruzeta-RN public schools. It has as main objective to analyze some aspects of the personal and familiar trajectories of students who had an improbable academic success, but reached high levels of school performance. O presente trabalho é fruto de análise e reflexão acerca das representações de Leitura e escola e suas implicações no Sucesso Escolar de crianças de classes populares e reflete a preocupação que tivemos em identificar as representações de pais, professores e alunos sobre a temática em questão, tendo como sujeitos da pesquisa, especialmente, crianças de origem popular e pequena herança de uma cultura escolar do ensino fundamental de escolas públicas de Cruzeta-RN. Ele tem como objetivo principal analisar alguns aspectos das trajetórias pessoais e familiares de alunos que tiveram um sucesso acadêmico improvável, porém alcançaram altos níveis de desempenho escolar.
