Resumo:  Four operations configure the organization, construction and integration of knowledge, such as: linkage, separation, analysis and synthesis. Brazilian formal education has turned its attention to the separation and analysis of knowledge, resulting in a reductionist education, in which students are not stimulated to formulate their ideas, think about knowledge and therefore are not taught to create. In this way, play and interdisciplinary activities are seen as valid pedagogical purposes in the teaching-learning process. In this sense, the objective of this work is to analyze the use of didactic models in the construction of knowledge about the evolution of the species and other related topics (ecological niche, habitat, adaptive radiation) in a didactic sequence proposed by the Institutional Program of Initiation to Teaching Scholarship , UFRN Interdisciplinary subproject, with 7th grade students from elementary school II and the 4th period of the Education of Young and Adults of the State School Professor Antônio Fagundes - Natal-RN.
