By considering the displacement from a disciplinary to a control society with characteristics of superperformance, speed and competition, this paper problematizes the concept of attention in its implications in education. This concept has gained strength since modernity and, contemporaneously, has functioned as both a deficit and an important market value. This theoretical essay, through archeogenealogical inspiration in Foucault, attempts to diagnose what we have become in the present, when schools are accused of not being able to keep students’ attention. Innovative pedagogical practices have increased, thus suggesting entertainment and marketing strategies as a means to please the students as clients. However, we may highlight that the same practices have also produced a kind of hyperconnected dispersion. As an ethical and political form of struggle, we have chosen to ask about attention implied in educational practices by regarding Foucault’s concept of care of the self, in a conversion between perspectives. Considerándo-se el dislocamiento de una sociedad disciplinar para una de control con características de súper desempeño, aceleración y competencia, este articulo problematiza el concepto de la atención en sus implicaciones con la educación. Este concepto viene ganando fuerza desde la modernidad y, más contemporáneamente, es operado como déficit y como un importante valor de mercado.  Este ensayo teórico, con inspiración arqueogenealógica en Foucault, busca diagnosticar en qué estamos convirtiéndonos en el presente, cuando las escuelas son acusadas de no conseguir mantener la atención de los alumnos. Las prácticas pedagógicas crecen, sugiriendo estrategias de marketing y de entretenimiento como forma de agradar, ahora, a los alumnos-clientes. Todavía, podemos resaltar cuánto éstas mismas prácticas también producen una dispersión híper conectada. Como modo de combate ético y político, optamos por preguntar sobre la atención implicada en las prácticas educativas a partir del concepto del cuidado de sí en Foucault, atravesando por una cierta conversión entre miradas. No deslocamento de uma sociedade disciplinar para uma de controle com características de superdesempenho, aceleração e concorrência, este artigo problematiza o conceito da atenção em suas implicações com a educação. Este conceito vem ganhando força desde a modernidade e, mais contemporaneamente, é operado como déficit e como um importante valor de mercado. Este ensaio teórico, com inspiração arquegenealógica em Foucault, busca diagnosticar o que estamos nos tornando no presente, quando as escolas são acusadas de não mais conseguirem manter a atenção dos alunos. Avolumam-se as práticas pedagógicas inovadoras, sugerindo estratégias de marketing e de entretenimento como forma de agradar, agora, os alunos-clientes. Todavia, podemos ressaltar o quanto essas mesmas práticas também produzem uma dispersão hiperconectada. Como modo de combate ético e político, optamos por perguntar pela atenção implicada nas práticas educativas a partir do conceito de cuidado de si em Foucault, atravessado por certa conversão do olhar.
