It aims to understand to what extent the non-compulsion of the discipline of Philosophy within State policies, can represent the denial of content of profound relevance the formation for citizenship and consequently emancipation of young people and school children. In this sense, he related the concepts of the political reflection of some thinkers in order to provide elements and categories of analysis to the researchers in the educational field, more specifically, linked to Philosophy in the school and its "importance" in the current State policy. From the analysis, our results show us that such a reform has been shown as a deliberate ideological policy of one class to social control over another. O presente estudo elaborado é baseado em um levantamento e revisão bibliográfica. Tem o intuito de entender em que medida a não obrigatoriedade da disciplina de Filosofia dentro das políticas de Estado, pode representar a negação de conteúdos de profunda relevância a formação para a cidadania e consequentemente emancipação de jovens e crianças escolarizados. Neste sentido, relacionou os conceitos da reflexão política de alguns pensadores em vista de fornecer elementos e categorias de análises aos pesquisadores no campo educacional, mais especificamente, ligados à Filosofia na escola e sua “importância” na atual política de Estado. A partir das análises, nossos resultados nos mostram que tal reforma, tem se mostrado como política ideológica intencionada de uma classe ao controle social em detrimento a outra.
