Its success is due to numerous theoretical predictions that were subsequently experimentally confirmed. This dissertation thoroughly examines each of the essential elements for its understanding, as well as the need to expand its boundaries to account for phenomena still unexplained, particularly the enigma of dark matter, the nature of which is unknown. Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES O Modelo Padrão da Física de Partículas (MP) constitui um bem-sucedido esquema teórico que reúne todo o conhecimento atual sobre as interações fundamentais da natureza (exceto a gravidade) e a matéria que nos cerca. Seu êxito deve-se a inúmeras previsões teóricas que posteriormente foram corroboradas experimentalmente.
