description The present study aims to investigate the perception of young beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família program regarding the program and its influence on their lives in São José do Mipibu. Specifically, it seeks to understand the historical background of income transfer programs and the fundamentals of Bolsa Família. The study aims to observe both positive and negative aspects of Bolsa Família according to the perception of young beneficiaries, with a special focus on understanding the repercussions of the mandatory fulfillment of conditionalities on the youth. It aims to explore their views on the Programa Bolsa Família and how the relationship between school, Bolsa Família, and the youth unfolds in terms of the impacts perceived by these young individuals. In an effort to give a voice to the beneficiaries, this study contributes to a more holistic analysis of public policy and aims to promote successful resolutions for the policy that can contribute to improving society's well-being. To achieve these objectives, we opted for a literature review to explore the historical background of Bolsa Família. Additionally, we investigated existing works related to the perception of young Bolsa Família beneficiaries. Despite not finding specific studies on this topic, we did find articles on the perception of the program directed at other audiences, which reinforced our commitment to developing this study specifically focused on young individuals from beneficiary families. Therefore, we chose to use a focus group method, gathering 6 (six) young participants in the municipality at the end of 2019, believing that this method would yield more meaningful results. The conclusions drawn from this study suggest that the young participants in the focus group can perceive the transformations brought about by Bolsa Família in the lives of beneficiaries, especially in the lives of families in extreme poverty. On the other hand, they point out distortions in the inclusion of beneficiaries and the need for a payment distribution among beneficiaries that promotes social justice. Finally, they enumerate shortcomings on the part of schools regarding the enforcement of educational conditionalities.

O presente estudo tem como objetivo investigar a percepção dos jovens beneficiários do programa Bolsa Família em relação ao programa e sua influência em suas vidas em São José do Mipibu. Especificamente, busca compreender o contexto histórico dos programas de transferência de renda e os fundamentos do Bolsa Família. O estudo visa observar aspectos positivos e negativos do Bolsa Família na percepção dos jovens beneficiários, com foco especial na compreensão das repercussões do cumprimento obrigatório de condicionalidades para os jovens. Tem como objetivo explorar a visão deles sobre o Programa Bolsa Família e como se desdobra a relação entre a escola, o Bolsa Família e os jovens em termos dos impactos percebidos por esses jovens. Num esforço para dar voz aos beneficiários, este estudo contribui para uma análise mais holística das políticas públicas e visa promover resoluções bem-sucedidas para a política que podem contribuir para melhorar o bem-estar da sociedade. Para atingir esses objetivos, optamos por uma revisão de literatura para explorar o contexto histórico do Bolsa Família. Adicionalmente, investigamos trabalhos existentes relacionados à percepção dos jovens beneficiários do Bolsa Família. Apesar de não encontrarmos estudos específicos sobre o tema, encontramos artigos sobre a percepção do programa direcionado a outros públicos, o que reforçou nosso compromisso em desenvolver este estudo voltado especificamente para jovens de famílias beneficiárias. Portanto, optamos por utilizar o método de grupo focal, reunindo 6 (seis) jovens participantes no município no final de 2019, acreditando que esse método traria resultados mais significativos. As conclusões deste estudo sugerem que os jovens participantes do grupo focal conseguem perceber as transformações provocadas pelo Bolsa Família na vida dos beneficiários, especialmente na vida das famílias em extrema pobreza.
