Resumo:The present course completion work (TCC) brings to the academic environment as the main core, the proposal for profitable discussion, about installations of high pedestrian lanes in the eastern area of Natal/RN, and how the right of accessibility is being enabled, to users of this public equipment. In addition, the study now proposed seeks an understanding of what has been done in the city, as stated in the current legislation, together with the vision of important social actors, linked to the achievement of this important vector of democratization of access to cities. Through the application of questionnaires and interviews with actors related to the topic, it was possible to see that although the respondents recognize the importance of the public apparatus in question, and admit that it meets the purpose for which it is intended, the vast majority does not know what technical criteria should be employed, and present suggestions for improvements to improve the user experience, showing a convergent view, as regards the installation and democratic use of urban mobility equipment.
