description This study intends to analyze the geoenvironmental components and reflect on the water crisis in Jardim do Seridó. Jardim do Seridó is located in the Seridóoriental microregion, inserted in the sertaneja depression, has a hot and semiarid climate, with 5édiu soil, hyperxerophilic and sub-desert caatinga vegetation, the territory suffers from low water scarcity due to reduced rainfall. The study on the water crisis in Jardim do Seridó is extremely relevant in terms of psychosocial, economic development and water supply in the locality. Faced with this situation, timely and 5édium5es forms of management and correct use of water resources have been sought with great strides. Due to a possible global water 5édium5, and the complexity that the issue involves, the concept of water security has gained notoriety. Therefore, the study aims to describe the water situation in the city of Jardim do Seridó-RN. This is a bibliographical, descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The study was prepared from a theoretical perspective, with the aim of collecting data that made it possible to understand the water and Pluviometric characterization of the territory. To this end, we sought to identify water reservoirs and 5édium5e Pluviometric surveys of rainfall rates, using the municipality of Jardim do Seridó–RN as a case study, and as a premise the harmony between 5édium5es5 research and local data collected. The situation in Jardim do Seridó 5édium5es problems in terms of water resources. In this way, it is considered that the reflections generated and the results obtained can offer promotional information that assists in the 5édium term in the preparation of more in-depth studies that highlight the most relevant demands and problems in the region that chante this critical scenario so suffered by droughts.

Este estudo tenciona analisar os componentes geoambientais e refletir acerca da crise hídrica em Jardim do Seridó. Jardim do Seridó localiza-se na microrregião do Seridó-oriental, inserido na depressão sertaneja, encerra clima quente e semiárido, com solo pedregoso, vegetação caatinga hiperxerófila e subdesértica, o território sofre com baixa escassez de água em virtude das reduzidas precipitações pluviais. O estudo acerca da crise hídrica em Jardim do Seridó, é de supra relevância no que tange o desenvolvimento psicossocial, econômico e abastecimento de água na localidade. Diante dessa conjuntura, a largos passos, têm-se buscado, formas oportunas e eficientes da gestão e correto uso dos recursos hídricos. Em virtude de um possível colapso hídrico a nível mundial, e da complexidade que a temática envolve, o conceito de segurança hídrica tem ganhado notoriedade. Assim sendo, o estudo objetiva descrever acerca da situação hídrica da cidade de Jardim do Seridó-RN. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, descritiva com abordagem qualitativa. O estudo foi elaborado a partir de uma perspectiva teórica, com o escopo de levantamento de dados que possibilitaram a compreensão da caracterização hídrica e pluviométrica do território. Para esse fim, buscou-se identificar os reservatórios hídricos e apresentar levantamentos pluviométrico dos índices de chuva, tendo como estudo do caso, o município de Jardim do Seridó–RN, e como premissa a harmonia entre a pesquisa científica e os dados locais levantados. A situação de Jardim do Seridó apresenta agravos no que tange os recursos hídricos.
