Resumo: | This article aims to investigate the relationship between educating and caring in Early Childhood Education in the context of Hospital Educational Care from the perspective of two pedagogues who work in different Hospital Classes, both located in the township of Natal/RN. Based on this, the research aims to analyze their conceptions about educating and caring in hospital educational care for young children, as well as to identify the main differences between the dimensions of educating and caring in the context of regular school and in the context of hospital educational care. The study adhered to the Qualitative Approach of Educational Research and an exploratory objective, so that the procedures of bibliographic survey and documentary analysis were adopted for the construction of this work. As an instrument for data collection, a questionnaire was developed for the pedagogues, focusing on their pedagogical experiences. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, the reflections were discussed in light of the contributions of Bujes (2001), Felipe (2001), Oliveira-Formosinho (2002), Kishimoto (2010), Ceccim (1997), Costa and Rolim (2020), Fonseca (1999; 2008; 2015), and Rocha and Passeggi (2010). In the research, it was observed that the teachers in question attribute to educating and caring in the context of hospital educational care - as well as in regular schools - an inseparable and indispensable character, when they are actions related to the development and learning process of young children. Even so, although similar, the dimensions in the hospital context have aspects that differentiate them from the regular school, such as the diseases, the excessive presence of family members, the procedures, the health professionals, among others. Therefore, it is essential that educators who work in the hospital environment are properly trained to deal with young children in this context, understanding them as a whole and understanding the situational conjuncture in which they are inserted. |
