Resumo:This study addresses the analysis of the mechanical properties of Double Piquet knit fabric, considering crucial factors such as loop length, yarn composition, and the presence of float stitches. Through an experimental approach using the Design-Expert software and tensile tests with the Tenso Lab 3 2512A equipment, the effects of these parameters on the tension, modulus of elasticity, and deformation characteristics of the knit fabric were investigated. Additionally, the research involved the use of an advanced knitting machine and specific CAD software for fabric production. The results revealed valuable insights into how these factors influence the mechanical properties of Double Piquet knit fabric, providing a basis for improvements in textile design and industrial applications. This study contributes significantly to the in-depth understanding of the mechanical behavior of this complex knit fabric.
