| Resumo: | The project to replace the CT scanner at the Onofre Lopes University Hospital began after the contracting company learned that the equipment would be entering the end of its life cycle, where replacement parts and maintenance would be obsolete for the machine. A case study was therefore carried out to plan the acquisition and installation of the new CT scanner, applying the specific needs and objectives outlined by the institution in order to update the hospital's technological park, thereby employing new technologies on the market as a way of benefiting the equipment's operating team and patients. The management of hospital medical equipment carried out by the clinical engineering sector was explored, analyzing the information registered and researched that is necessary for the acquisition of the device and the standards and resolutions to be applied at each stage of the process. Obtaining for the school hospital a history of the documentation of all the fundamental stages for this change of equipment, which can be used for other devices with the same problem, thus allowing improvements and technological advances, offering benefits to patients and growth to the hospital. |
