Resumo: | The present study is a literature review on the theme of mental health conditions in the field of action of basic education teachers in the current Brazilian scenario. Aiming to identify factors co-responsible for the triggering of feelings of malaise, low performance in the classroom, stress and the development of anxiety by teachers in the work environment, he developed the study through a structured literature review. As a research method, search platforms of CAPES, SciELO and LILACS were used from the keywords: Mental health teachers in basic education; Mental health teachers in basic education; Illness teachers in basic education and Psychic diseases in teachers in basic education, which were extracted at first 143 studies, which after analysis and filtering were selected 6 final articles published between the years 2018 to 2023. As a result we can see a growth of cases correlated with psychological issues on the part of these professionals that have affected physical and mental balance. The study showed a series of determining factors for the advancement of psychological health problems by these professionals, among them stand out the high assignment of tasks combined with low and disproportionate salaries in relation to the multiple functions as a teacher, unfavorable spaces, indiscipline of students, accountability for the "success or failure" of the student body, and others. Such situations are shown to be substantial in the generation of psychological health problems by the teacher in Brazil. |
