Their colors promote the value and define the pattern of the animals, thus influencing their commercialization. The aim was to evaluate the influence of the use of plants on the fecundity and pattern of ornamental shrimp. Animals with standard Red Sakura coloring were selected and kept in experimental units on three different diets: T1 - commercial feed; T2 - practical vegetable-based diet (carrots and broccoli); and T3 - commercial feed + practical vegetable-based diet. The feed was provided twice a day and 20 days after the start of the experiment, the ovulated females were separated into individual aquariums and kept until the eggs hatched to assess fecundity, and at the end of the experiment, the animals that were fit for sale, non-standard and transparent were observed. The results showed that T2 performed better in terms of coloration. With regard to fecundity, T2 had the lowest number of offspring and T1 and T3 showed no difference between them. The results obtained showed that the high levels of carotenoids present in the vegetables chosen were beneficial for improving coloration, but when it comes to growth and reproduction, a balanced diet with adequate minerals, proteins and lipids is necessary to meet the animals' nutritional needs. Os camarões da espécie Neocaridina davidi fazem sucesso no mercado ornamental, pois são adaptáveis aos diferentes substratos e temperaturas. Suas cores promovem o valor e definem o padrão dos animais influenciando, assim, na comercialização dos mesmos. O objetivo foi avaliar a influência do uso de vegetais sobre a fecundidade e a padronagem dos camarões ornamentais. Foram selecionados animais com coloração padrão Red Sakura que estiveram em unidades experimentais variando três dietas: T1 - ração comercial; T2 – dieta prática a base de vegetais (cenoura e brócolis); e T3 - ração comercial + dieta prática a base de vegetais. A alimentação foi fornecida duas vezes ao dia diariamente e após 20 dias de início do experimento as fêmeas ovadas foram separadas em aquários individuais e mantidas até a eclosão dos ovos para avaliação da fecundidade, e, ao final do experimento observou-se, ainda os animais aptos à comercialização, não padrão e transparentes. Os resultados evidenciaram que T2 teve melhor desempenho referente à coloração. Em relação à fecundidade, T2 teve menor número de filhotes e T1 e T3 não apresentaram diferença entre si.
