Introduction:Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) such as hypertension, acute myocardial infarction and stroke are responsible for around 63% of deaths worldwide. It is noticeable that throughout life, women go through various transformations in their bodies, and with the onset of menopause, the risk of developing cardiovascular
diseases increases significantly in this public, given that endothelial dysfunction can occur, changes in the metabolic profile, in addition to increased blood pressure and insulin resistance Objectives: To evaluate the level of physical activity, through the human activity profile (PAH) and the International Human Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) of hypertensive women. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional study, carried
out between April 2022 and August 2023, at the Physiotherapy School Clinic and the
Human Motricity and Physiology Laboratory of the Trairi Health Sciences Faculty/Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (FACISA/UFRN), in the municipality of Santa Cruz, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Results: The level of physical activity of the studied sample was predominantly active. Conclusion: When
we analyzed the possible correlations between the PAH questionnaire and age, weight and BMI, we found no statistical correlation between these variables, demonstrating that, in the sample studied, there are no relationships between these measures (p=0.734, p=0.119, p=0.255), respectively. |
