Resumo: | This study investigated the transfer of public resources to the private health
sector in the State of Rio Grande do Norte through health services affiliated
with the Unified Health System (SUS), seeking to understand the efficiency
and impact of these investments in the provision of services to the population.
The research addressed the budgetary allocation of RN health to the private sector, related to the provision of services to SUS users between the years 2018 and 2020. For this, financial data from the terms of agreements were analyzed with the aim of verifying the expenditure of the public sector with services contracted by the private health sector in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, highlighting health care contracts via the private sector. This study is expected to highlight public spending on health services through the financing/production relationship of the SUS contracted with the private sector. The importance of a critical and systematic analysis of public health expenditure is evident, especially in the relationship between the public and private sector, to guarantee the provision of quality and effective services for the population. It is in this scenario that the importance of investigations that analyze public spending on procedures and services agreed with the private sector arises, as is the case of the study that aims to evaluate the model adopted in the state of RN, the importance of continuous evaluations and critical reflection on partnerships between the public and private sectors, aiming to strengthen Brazil's health system. |
