Resumo:Objective: to understand the perception of managers, health professionals and users of a university hospital about quality health care. Method: this is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. A total of 44 subjects took part in the study: four managers, 20 health professionals and 20 users. The data was obtained through semi-structured interviews between the end of August and the beginning of October 2023. The textual content was subjected to lexicographic analysis using the IRaMuTeQ software and the data was analyzed using current and relevant literature on the subject. Results: four classes were analyzed: "Elements for quality care", "Perceptions about the care offered by the hospital", "Contributions to promoting quality care" and "Challenges for quality care". Final considerations: the treatment offered during care has a major influence on its quality, the hospital will not always be able to offer quality; care, managers, health professionals and users are jointly responsible for the quality of care and gaining access to health services and the resources needed to provide care are major challenges due to the high demand.
