Resumo: | Performance in organizations from the tourism sector is not solely estimated from its economic value, products, and services, but also from the intangible resources – that is, the intellectual capital. The investments on such aspect benefit the creative and innovative potential of workers, whilst the corporative value. With the objective of analyzing the relations, in the specialized academic production, between organizational performance and intellectual capital in strategic human resource management in tourism, this research consists of a systematic literature review. The quali-quanti methodology, associated with the metanalysis of scientific articles published in the last five years, contributed to critical argumentation throughout this study. To further increase the reliability of this literature diagnosis, revealed as incipient and unilateral in tourism, the SWOT analysis was applied. The results denote certain fragility in approach, regarding the context of tourism, with numerous opportunities of improvement in methodological aspects. When adequately motivated by the academy, the filled gaps would improve the strategic human resource management in tourism in a pragmatic sense – both in the academic, and the market environment. This production, in special, should be able to direct new studies related to organizational culture and quality control. |
