Resumo:Electricity is essential for the development of various activities in contemporary society, from residential, commercial and industrial use to technological advances. However, over the centuries, population growth and the increased use of electro-electronic devices have significantly increased energy consumption rates, highlighting the need for changes in consumption patterns. In this context, there has been a growing demand for sustainable sources of energy generation that do not compromise the ecosystem. Renewable energy sources have grown significantly in this period due to the oil crisis and advances in science and technology over the last few decades, such as onshore wind power. This type of energy generation is characterized by its infinity, the fact that it doesn't produce waste or emit polluting gases, as well as having a relatively low cost compared to other forms of energy generation. In view of the above, a bibliographical and documentary study was carried out with the aim of analyzing the trajectory of onshore wind energy in Brazil. The results show that there has been significant growth in the last ten (10) years in the country, driven by tax exemptions, which have made production cheaper and favored the growth of the market.
