Zusammenfassung:The quality of the water used to generate steam is crucial for operational efficiency, equipment life and, above all, for process safety. The central problem addressed in this work lies in the pressing need to develop a water treatment strategy for steam generation that is efficient, economical and sustainable, taking into account the specific physicochemical characteristics of the catchment water, highlighting the high concentration of hardness. The general objective of this work is to develop and apply a data analysis system capable of simulating and/or comparing unit operations of each of the treatment stages, with a focus on removing water hardness, as well as the final process of bed polishing mixed resin. The system will make it possible to evaluate different treatment scenarios, optimize the removal of impurities and provide a specification of the steam generation water adapted to the characteristics of the capture water. Apply appropriate mathematical models for each of the unit operations, considering the physical-chemical characteristics of raw water. The feed water for steam generation must meet strict quality standards to ensure process efficiency, equipment protection and operational safety, specifications set out in regulatory standards and, mainly, requirements set out in the vessel manufacturers' manuals, pumps and boilers of the analyzed process. Furthermore, the treatment aims to remove unwanted substances, such as suspended solids, organic matter and chemicals that can harm the operation of boilers and heat transfer systems. Each step plays an important role in removing impurities and improving water quality, ensuring reliable operation of steam generation systems. Unit operations play a fundamental role in several industrial processes, including water treatment to generate steam. Unit operations have a critical role in removing impurities and treating water for use in boilers and steam generating systems.
