Resumo:This master's thesis is linked to the line of research Teaching and Learning of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at PPGECNM/UFRN, having as its object of study an excerpt from the document Canon Masudicus by the medieval Islamic scholar al-Biruni (973–1048). Thus, it culminates in the production of an Educational Product (EP) based on research that deals with the Alliance between the History of Mathematics (HM) and Digital Technologies (DT) via Comic Books (HQ), the aim of which is to answer the following focus question: What elements developed in al-Biruni's calculation of the Earth's length can be used in a proposal for an Alliance between the History of Mathematics and Digital Technologies via Comics? To assist with the focus question, the general objective is to present the calculation of the length of the Earth's radius, made by al-Biruni, based on an Alliance proposal signed between HM and TD via HQ. To this end, the research is supported by a qualitative approach of a bibliographic and documentary nature. Taking into account the studies carried out, we obtained the validation and refinement of an Educational Product that resulted in a final version to be freely available to the user. The Educational Product consists of a didactic proposal with a digital comic, hosted on a website, which addresses the production of knowledge mentioned above, as additional information linked to the topic and will be made available especially for teachers to take to the classroom.
