Resumo:Introduction:The Health ProgramSchoolprovides technical-assistance activities under the responsibility of the professionals of the Family Health Teams, as well as popular health education activities for teachers, parents, communities and students. Despite the importance of this program, weaknesses are identified that compromise more effective results, such as the need for investments in the permanent education of the professionals involved (education and health professionals). Objective:Thus, the objective was to evaluate the perception of health professionals in the city of Natal / RN about health education strategies for adolescents. Method:Qualitative study based on focus groups with professionals from the Family Health Strategy that worksin the Health ProgramSchool, whose speeches were recorded with the aid of a cell phone, transcribed in a Word document and analyzed using the ethnographic summary technique. Results:The professionals demonstrated an understanding of the concept of health education and the need to adapt pedagogical strategies to the target audience, pointing out the need for public policies that guarantee constant training for health professionals andeducators so that together they promote integrality in the Program. Conclusion:The lack of pedagogical training for professionals, insufficient inputs, absence of integrated planning between schools and health services, the lack of recognition by the community of the importance of the health actions carried out are weakening factors. Despite the difficulties, there is a yearning for favorable conditions for the development of health education
