description The Baixo Rio Branco, located between the municipalities of Caracaraí and Rorainópolis, in the center-south region of the state of Roraima, Brazil, has stood out for offering the Sports Fishing Tourism segment, due to the diversity contained in its ecosystems, which provides the occurrence of different species of fish. The literature points out, however, that the use of water and fishing resources by tourist activities affects the degree of conservation of natural environments and the way of life of riverside communities living in the region, leading to social conflicts that raise the need to reflect on the development of tourism on a more responsible basis, in order to find ways to mitigate possible harmful actions of the tourist phenomenon on the environment in which it is located, as well as the interference of these conflicts on tourist activity. To address the aspects that can and should permeate the Sport Fishing Tourism activity in this amazonian context, this study chose to use the sustainability paradigm as a viable path for responsible regional development. For this, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, from the United Nations - UN, was taken as a basis, through the SDGs Mandala instrument, from the National Confederation of Municipalities - CNM, which has a methodology applicable at the local level and covers data socioeconomic and environmental aspects of the municipalities covered by the research. Thus, the exploratory-descriptive research carried out, which consists of a case study, had as its main objective to analyze the challenges for Sport Fishing Tourism in the Lower Rio Branco-RR to contribute to achieving the social SDGs of the 2030 Agenda, the from the SDGs Mandala. As methodological procedures, the applied research made use of the qualitative approach and bibliographical, documentary and electronic research, from a phenomenological perspective, in addition to counting on the contribution of social actors directly involved in the planning, management and/or use of natural resources processes. locations used by the tourist segment, through the application of questionnaires, the main results of which allowed us to understand that, although for stakeholders, Sport Fishing Tourism presents good sustainability prospects, and that community perception indicates proximity to the social objectives of SDGs Mandala, it is urgent and necessary that effective public policies are implemented, in order to enable tourism to effectively contribute to achieving the social SDGs of the 2030 Agenda in Baixo Rio Branco, enabling the rational and equitable use of local natural resources, through participative management.

O Baixo Rio Branco, localizado entre os municípios de Caracaraí e Rorainópolis, na região centro-sul do estado de Roraima, Brasil, tem se destacado pela oferta do segmento de Turismo de Pesca Esportiva, em razão da diversidade contida em seus ecossistemas, que propicia a ocorrência de variadas espécies de peixes. A literatura aponta, contudo, que o uso dos recursos hídricos e pesqueiros pela atividade turística incide no grau de conservação dos ambientes naturais e no modo de vida das comunidades ribeirinhas que vivem na região, acarretando em conflitos sociais que suscitam a necessidade de refletir sobre o desenvolvimento do turismo em bases mais responsáveis, a fim de encontrar meios para mitigar possíveis ações danosas do fenômeno turístico sobre o ambiente em que ele se insere, bem como as interferências desses conflitos sobre a atividade turística. Para tratar dos aspectos que podem e devem permear a atividade de Turismo de Pesca Esportiva nesse contexto amazônico, elegeu-se nesse estudo o uso do paradigma da sustentabilidade como caminho viável para o desenvolvimento regional responsável. Para isso, tomou-se como base a Agenda 2030 para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável, da Organização das Nações Unidas - ONU, por meio do instrumento Mandala ODS, da Confederação Nacional de Municípios - CNM, que dispõe de metodologia aplicável em esfera local e abrange dados socioeconômicos e ambientais dos municípios contemplados pela pesquisa. Assim, a pesquisa exploratóriodescritiva realizada, que consiste em um estudo de caso, teve como objetivo principal analisar quais os desafios para que o Turismo de Pesca Esportiva no Baixo Rio Branco-RR contribua para o alcance dos ODS sociais da Agenda 2030, a partir da Mandala ODS. Como procedimentos metodológicos, a pesquisa aplicada fez uso da abordagem qualitativa e das pesquisas bibliográfica, documental e eletrônica, sob a ótica fenomenológica, além de contar com a contribuição de atores sociais diretamente envolvidos nos processos de planejamento, gestão e/ou uso dos recursos naturais locais utilizados pelo segmento turístico, por meio da aplicação de questionários, cujos principais resultados permitiram perceber que, embora para os stakeholders o Turismo de Pesca Esportiva apresente bons prospectos de sustentabilidade, e que a percepção comunitária indique proximidade com os objetivos sociais da Mandala ODS, é urgente e necessário que políticas públicas eficazes sejam implementadas, a fim de propiciar que o turismo contribua efetivamente para o alcance dos ODS sociais da Agenda 2030 no Baixo Rio Branco, viabilizando o uso racional e equânime dos recursos naturais locais, por meio de gestão participativa. 2023-11-08T20:30:11Z 2023-11-08T20:30:11Z 2023-08-11 masterThesis DINELLI, Loren Caroline Ferreira.
