description	The purpose of this study was analyze the boundaries and potentialities of a program to prevent violence against women developed on estadual educational instance of RN. Denominated “Programa Maria da Penha vai à Escola” (PROMAPE), which is from the law 10.330/2018, that aligned with Law Maria da Penha, has about the debate about gender equality and basic notion of LMP on education, in order to prevent violence against women. Therefore, were selected specific purposes: a) investigate the implications of implementation at schools; b) capture the perceptions of school representatives about the violence phenomenon against girls and woman and preventive possibilities from education and c) problematize it contribution, next to scholar’s representatives envolved, that experienced the program interventions and next to coordinators whose developed. About method, were advanced 2 phases: documental and interviewing. Thus, were produced 9 interviews semi-structured and individuals, with PROMAPE coordinators and scholar’s representatives of target school of the program. The analysis of data is supported on materialism historic-dialect, incorporated to a feminist Marxist perspective, that possibilities the critical analysis about social relations and denaturalization of several oppressions that women are submitted. The results demonstrate that violence against young girls and women is a phenomenon though education and the school and reproduces on this context in many ways. Despite this expression, there is still a unfamiliarity about the role of education in front of the violence cases, as well as the protection network itself and treatment, and external procedures. It was verified that, despite the conservative context, discussions that envolves violence against woman as strategies of confrontation and prevention have already been carried out by schools before the PROMAPE intervention. On the other hand, the results indicate also, that still necessary improvements on the program, to enable effective prevention to violence, since still have limited reach and interventions. This way, it is understood that the program, although fundamental for the prevention of violence and for the consciousness process, cannot effectively confront the violence, since do not achieve the bases of social structure patriarchal-racist-capitalist. It is concluded that PROMAPE, can be one possibility to prevent violence against woman, specially for it intervention being realized in the education field, however, presupposes structural modifications, reach and methodological proposal, to promote effective changes, without disregard it limitation intrinsic of answer to the complexity violence against woman

Denominado “Programa Maria da Penha vai à Escola” (PROMAPE), é fruto da lei 10.330/2018, que, ancorada na Lei Maria da Penha, dispõe sobre o fomento do debate sobre a igualdade de gênero e noções básicas sobre a LMP na educação, a fim de prevenir a violência contra a mulher. No RN, entre 2011 e 2020, 1.050 mulheres foram mortas no Estado por causas proxy para feminicídio, ou seja, por condutas violentas letais intencionais das quais 83% das vítimas tinham entre 15 e 49 anos e 76,2% eram mulheres negras. Esses dados resultam de uma sociedade estruturalmente patriarcal-racista-capitalista, que imprime determinações, que se desdobram em desigualdades, opressões e violências sobre a vida de meninas e mulheres. Para tanto, foram elencados como objetivos específicos: a) caracterizar o programa, b) investigar as implicações de sua implementação e desenvolvimento nas escolas e c) problematizar sua contribuição, junto aos(às) representantes escolares envolvidos(as), que experienciaram a intervenção dos programas e junto aos(às) coordenadores(as) à frente de seu desenvolvimento. No tocante ao método, foram realizadas duas etapas: documental e de entrevistas. Desta forma, foram realizadas 9 entrevistas semiestruturadas e individuais, com os coordenadores do PROMAPE e com representantes escolares das escolas-alvo do programa. A análise dos dados está apoiada no materialismo histórico-dialético, incorporado à perspectiva feminista marxista, que possibilita uma análise crítica sobre as relações sociais e a desnaturalização das diversas opressões a que estão submetidas as mulheres. Os resultados estão organizados em categorias agrupadas em três eixos de discussão: percepções sobre a violência contra a mulher, as expressões da violência e a escola, e a experiência do programa de prevenção à violência contra a mulher na rede estadual de educação. Os resultados demonstram que a violência contra meninas e mulheres é um fenômeno que atravessa a educação e a escola e se reproduz neste contexto de múltiplas formas. Apesar dessa expressão, há ainda um desconhecimento acerca do papel da educação frente aos casos de violência, bem como da própria rede de proteção e atendimento e de procedimentos externos. Verificou-se que, apesar do contexto neoconservador, discussões que envolvem a violência contra a mulher como estratégia de enfrentamento e prevenção já eram realizadas pelas escolas antes da intervenção do PROMAPE. Por sua vez, os resultados também indicaram que ainda são necessárias melhorias no Programa, para que possibilitem uma efetiva prevenção à violência, visto que ainda tem alcance e intervenções limitadas. Desta forma, compreende-se que o programa, apesar de fundamental para a prevenção à violência e para os processos de conscientização, não consegue efetivamente enfrentar a violência, visto que não alcança as bases da estrutura social patriarcal-racista-capitalista.
