description The present work addressed football as its theme, with the general objective – to develop and evaluate a class proposal (didactic unit) with football content, from the critical-emancipatory conception, in Physical Education classes in high school. And it had the following specific objectives: 1- to develop football content in a didactic unit, based on the critical-emancipatory conception, in high school Physical Education classes; 2- to evaluate the soccer content in a didactic unit, from the criticalemancipatory conception, in Physical Education classes in high school; 3- point out the limits and possibilities of a didactic unit about soccer, based on the criticalemancipatory conception, in Physical Education classes in high school. For that, a participant research was carried out, using the descriptive qualitative method as a methodological option. The students of the 1st year of high school, from Escola Estadual Maria do Rosário Bezerra, located in the municipality of Boa Saúde/RN - Brazil, took part in this research, in the morning period, this class being composed of 35 students regularly enrolled. The instruments for data collection were: field diary and questionnaire. In this way, the data were presented based on the analysis and interpretation of the data, as well as discussed with the consulted theoretical reference, to dialogue with the information obtained, so that, in this way, the limits and possibilities of the proposal with the unit could be pointed out. didactics, as well as ways for more studies to emerge and contribute to new works on the subject. With that, through the analysis of the results (evaluative questionnaire – diagnosis and final –, and pedagogical intervention), it was verified in the didactic unit about soccer, from the Critical-Emancipatory Conception, a significant evolution in student learning, whether from the quantitative point of view, whether from the qualitative point of view, giving these senses and meanings.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES O presente trabalho abordou como tema o futebol, tendo como objetivo geral – desenvolver e avaliar uma proposta de aula (unidade didática) com o conteúdo futebol, a partir da concepção crítico-emancipatória, nas aulas de Educação Física do ensino médio. E teve como objetivos específicos: 1- desenvolver o conteúdo futebol em uma unidade didática, a partir da concepção crítico-emancipatória, nas aulas de Educação Física do ensino médio; 2- avaliar o conteúdo futebol em uma unidade didática, a partir da concepção crítico-emancipatória, nas aulas de Educação Física do ensino médio; 3- apontar os limites e as possibilidades de uma unidade didática sobre o futebol, a partir da concepção crítico-emancipatória, nas aulas de Educação Física do ensino médio. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa participante, utilizando-se como opção metodológica o método qualitativo descritivo. Fizeram parte desta pesquisa, os estudantes do 1º ano do ensino médio, da Escola Estadual Maria do Rosário Bezerra, situada no município de Boa Saúde/RN - Brasil, no período matutino, sendo esta turma composta por 35 estudantes regularmente matriculados. Já os instrumentos para a coleta de dados, foram: o diário de campo e questionário. Dessa forma, os dados foram apresentados com base na análise e interpretação dos dados, bem como, discutidos com o referencial teórico consultado, para dialogar com as informações obtidas, para que assim, se pudesse apontar os limites e as possibilidades da proposta com a unidade didática, assim como os caminhos para que mais estudos surjam e, contribuam para novos trabalhos sobre o tema.
