Resumo:In view of the social isolation adopted as a measure to control the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2020, telework had to be adopted as the most viable work modality for the moment by private and public institutions, among them the IFRN which, through the Management and Performance, signals the possibility of this modality to definitively materialize in a postpandemic scenario. However, advantages and disadvantages have been pointed out by the use of telework, in addition to impacts such as the one caused in the relationship between work and family. Thus, understanding the perception of the IFRN's technical-administrative staff (TAE) about telework and its relationship with the family dimension is relevant for the institution. In this sense, the main objective of this research was to analyze the perception of the technical-administrative employees of the IFRN about telework and its relationship with the family dimension, due to their experience with this type of work. It was a case study with a quali-quantitative approach and with exploratory and descriptive purposes. The study data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, carried out using Microsoft Teams, and a questionnaire, through a survey, made available to participants via institutional e-mail. The results showed that the advantages were perceived more intensely in relation to the disadvantages. Cost reduction, less contact with urban violence and quality of life at work were the advantages that had a higher percentage of agreement. It was also verified that the TAE servers of the IFRN were able to reconcile telework with the family nucleus, where the profile of the teleworker is decisive for this satisfactory result. Finally, it was found that the positive perceptions of the telework and family relationship were felt more strongly than the negative ones, with the proximity of the family as a highlight and the greatest motivator for the intention to adhere to this type of work permanently. It is therefore concluded that the experience with telework was beneficial for these servers and for the IFRN.
