description The fundamental role of museums for social inclusion and citizenship is recognized, but this objective does not materialize when the building or the content presents obstacles to the use of people in their diversities. Considering the increase in the number of museums in recent decades, frequent adaptation of buildings to house this use, as well as the low rates found in the latest monitoring related to compliance with legal requirements for accessibility and cultural enjoyment, there is a demand for collaboration from the architecture field with the multidisciplinarity that involves museums. This context raises the following question: what architectural attributes influence or contribute to a potentially satisfactory and inclusive museum experience? The main goal of this research is to analyze cultural nature museum projects, focusing on attributes of a functional and inclusive nature, with emphasis on accesses, circulations and spatial distributions. The methodological procedures include a literature review on universal design, cultural accessibility, inclusion in museums and graphic analysis methods applied in projects. Using as a data source the proposal boards selected in the Brazilian Maritime Museum contest, promoted by IAB RJ, containing projects, photographs and other components that can be graphically analyzed, research procedures will be carried out that involve redesigning projects and relevant elements in the form of plans, conceptual diagrams and sketches, in addition to the construction of a graphic analysis matrix and synthesis diagrams of the conclusions found. Among the results, the characterization of the path in the project proposals for the Brazilian Maritime Museum stands out as a component that materializes the intention of integrating the city to the waters, valuing the potential of urban insertion and the landscape. It is concluded that through a path that gradually leads between the external and internal and then returns to the external, which provides encounters and stimulates transit to discover, it is apprehended that the role of transition and connection of elements and circulation spaces play an articulating role in the program. Furthermore, the flows contribute to spatial reading and to the use of spaces, corroborating with the pertinent discussion on architectural creation and with the possibilities of contributing to existing demands in the fields of inclusion and cultural accessibility.

É reconhecido o papel fundamental de museus para a inclusão social e cidadania, mas tal objetivo não se concretiza quando o edifício ou o conteúdo apresenta entraves à utilização de pessoas em suas diversidades. Considerando o aumento do número de museus nas décadas recentes, a frequente adaptação de edifícios para abrigar este uso, bem como os baixos índices encontrados no último monitoramento relacionado ao cumprimento de requisitos legais de acessibilidade e fruição cultural, percebe-se uma demanda para colaboração do campo da arquitetura com a multidisciplinaridade que envolve os museus. Esse contexto suscita o seguinte questionamento: que atributos arquitetônicos influenciam ou contribuem para uma experiência museal potencialmente satisfatória e inclusiva? O objetivo geral desta pesquisa é analisar projetos de museus de caráter cultural, com enfoque em atributos de natureza funcional e inclusiva, com ênfase nos acessos, circulações e distribuições espaciais. Os procedimentos metodológicos contemplam a revisão de literatura acerca de desenho universal, acessibilidade cultural, inclusão em museus e métodos de análise gráfica de projetos. Utilizando como fonte de dados as pranchas de propostas selecionadas no concurso do Museu Marítimo Brasileiro, promovido pelo IAB RJ, contendo projetos, fotografias e outros componentes passíveis de serem analisados graficamente, serão executados procedimentos de pesquisa que envolvem redesenho de projetos e elementos pertinentes em forma de plantas, diagramas conceituais e croquis, além da construção de matriz gráfica de análise e diagramas síntese das conclusões encontradas. Entre os resultados destaca-se a caracterização do percurso nas propostas de projeto para o Museus Marítimo Brasileiro como componente que concretiza a intenção de integrar a cidade às águas, valorizando o potencial de inserção urbanística e da paisagem. Conclui-se que através de um percurso que conduz gradualmente entre o externo e interno para depois retornar ao externo, que proporciona encontros e estimula o transitar para descobrir, apreende-se que o papel de transição e conexão de elementos e espaços de circulação desempenham papel articulador do programa.
