| Resumo: | Afrotourism as a segmentation of tourist activity aims to bring to the rescue and promote the enhancement of black culture in addition to promoting inclusion and diversity in Tourism. The present work has the general objective of analyzing the conditions of Bairro das Rocas in Natal/RN for the practice of Afrotourism as an anti-racist tool. In order to achieve the general objective, we sought to: a) Historically contextualize the neighborhood of Rocas; b) Present the views of the representatives on the expressions they participate in and their connections with black people and anti-racist discourse; c) Show your opinion on the possibility of inserting your expressions in the tourist offer. As a methodology, research with a qualitative approach was used with document analysis and the creation of a structured questionnaire applied with representatives of cultural expressions present in Bairro das Rocas. As a result, we were able to show that cultural expressions understand their relationship with blackness and anti-racist discourse and that they see themselves within the possibility of bringing their expression to the tourist offer |
