The final result was the cidade baixa font, composed of 36 representations of the material patrimony and people’s interactions with the place. Ten characters representing intangible culture associated with numerals and twenty-six dingbats representing material aspects in the version associated with alphabetic characters were developed. Este projeto relata o desenvolvimento de uma fonte dingbat inspirada nas edificações presentes na Rua Chile, localizada no bairro da Ribeira, em Natal (RN). O trabalho busca registrar graficamente aspectos da cultura e do patrimônio material que resistem ao longo da história do local, bem como a cultura imaterial. A fonte cidade baixa foi desenvolvida a partir da metodologia de Bonsiepe (1984) associada ao método para a criação de dingbats proposto por Cunha (2019), com a adaptação decorrente das necessidades deste projeto. O resultado final foi a fonte cidade baixa, composta por 36 representações das fachadas do patrimônio material e interações das pessoas com o local.
