Resumo: | Currently, sensing devices are developed to provide data with significant precision
operating in support of various daily activities. In this work, a study of the influence of
different resonant elements on the sensitivity of a planar sensor is presented. The
sensor is based on a rectangular patch antenna, on which different types of resonant
structures are inserted. The resonant structures were: interdigital capacitor (CID),
complementary split-ring resonator (CSSR), the Rectangular Spiral and a square
complementary split-ring resonator (SCSSR). The efficiency of the resonant
structure in the sensitivity of the sensing device is evaluated from the displacement
of the resonant frequency, caused by the interaction with a material under test
(MUT). Using the finite element method, implemented by the Ansys HFSS software,
simulations were carried out that allowed raising the response data for each element
used. In addition, curves representing the frequency variation and sensitivity for each
discrete MUT electrical permittivity value were obtained based on the specialized
literature in the area. Finally, a comparative analysis of data based on arithmetic
mean, standard deviation, variance and relative percentage difference. Thus,
through the comparative analysis of the results, it was possible to identify that the
resonant structure based on the CSRR presented a higher level of sensitivity
compared to the other studied models. |
