| Resumo: | This research aims to analyze the role of ecotourism as a motivational factor for tourists who travel from Curitiba to Morretes via the Serra Verde Express train. The specific objectives of this study are to identify the tourist profile, understand the reasons that lead them to choose this experience, investigate the perceptions attributed by them to this experience, as well as to evaluate their satisfaction with the tour through the largest preserved stretch of Atlantic Forest in the country. To conduct this research, a questionnaire was administered to one hundred tourists who have already taken the trip. The questionnaire addressed aspects related to the tourists' profile, their motivations for choosing this travel experience, their perceptions of the environmentally conscious nature of the tour, and their overall evaluation of the tour. The results obtained reveal that tourists do not believe that this activity has an environmentally conscious nature and that awareness and environmental education practices are necessary throughout the journey. |
