Based on a theoretical and methodological approach of historical and dialectical materialism, the research analyzes land concentration, violence in rural areas, and the struggle for land, tracing a historical overview from the colonial period to the present day. Through a bibliographic and documentary research, data from the Pastoral Land Commission on agrarian conflicts and the analysis of government policies are explored. The study seeks to comprehend how violence is deeply rooted in the formation of Brazilian society and how the counter-reform agrarian policies of the governments in question have contributed to the escalation of these conflicts. The research aims to recover the history of the Brazilian agrarian issue and reflect on the relationship between the social and agrarian question, considering the defense of the rights of the working class and the role of social workers in this context. Este trabalho busca compreender a relação entre as políticas agrárias dos governos Temer e Bolsonaro e o aumento dos conflitos por terra no Brasil, a partir de 2016. Com base em uma abordagem teórico-metodológica do materialismo histórico e dialético, a pesquisa analisa a concentração fundiária, a violência no campo e a luta pela terra, traçando um panorama histórico desde o período colonial até os dias atuais. Por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, são explorados dados da Comissão Pastoral da Terra sobre os conflitos agrários e a análise de políticas governamentais. O estudo busca compreender como a violência está enraizada na formação da sociedade brasileira e como as políticas de contrarreforma agrária dos governos em questão contribuíram para o aumento desses conflitos.
