Its general objective it’s to characterize the scientific production on Bibliotherapy. It builds descriptive bibliographic research with quantitative and qualitative characteristics, through a search in the Dimensions database, using bibliometric indicators of scientific production to describe the temporal evolution of cientific production in Bibliotherapy, identify the authors and journals that most produce about the theme and categorize the main areas of research and subjects dealt with in the works found. From the data showed by the search, a growing academic interest in the production of works on the subject was evaluated, points out the sixteen most productive authors and the institutions in which they work, the sixteen most productive journals, categorizes the themes most associated with bibliotherapy by the most productive authors and builds a categorized bibliography with them. It concludes that Bibliotherapy is a relevant and constantly evolving area. Discorre sobre o Biblioterapia, seu histórico e o estado atual das pesquisas sobre a temática. Tem como objetivo geral caracterizar a produção científica sobre Biblioterapia. Constrói uma pesquisa bibliográfica descritiva com características quantitativas e qualitativas, através de uma busca na base de dados Dimensions, utilizando-se de indicadores bibliométricos de produção científica para descrever a evolução temporal da produção científica em Biblioterapia, identificar os autores e periódicos que mais produzem sobre o tema e categorizar as principais áreas de pesquisa e assuntos tratados nos trabalhos encontrados. A partir dos dados apresentados pela busca, avaliou-se um crescente interesse acadêmico na produção de trabalhos sobre a temática, apontou os dezesseis autores mais produtivos e as instituições nas quais trabalham, os dezesseis periódicos mais produtivos, categoriza os temas mais associados à biblioterapia pelos autores mais produtivos e constrói uma bibliografia categorizada com os mesmos.
