Resumo:Analyzing the historical context in the struggle for inclusion, it is possible to see that people with disabilities faced and still face several challenges when it comes to guaranteeing their rights. Thus, it is necessary to structure public policies to include this group of people and ensure that these rights are ensured. The present work aims to carry out an exploratory and descriptive analysis of state policies for people with disabilities in RN (2003 - 2021), considering the national context and the framework of transversality in public policies. For this, it was analyzed to what extent transversality is used as a strategy in policies for people with disabilities, as well as the institutional conditions for transversality, through a qualitative and documentary analysis. Using as inspiration a methodology based on tracking processes information was collected from a matrix of guided questions and through documents such as RN normative and PPAs. It is hoped, with the research, to contribute to strengthening the Observatório das Inequalidades of UFRN, to help in the understanding of public policies for people with disabilities in Rio Grande do Norte, and in the reflection of the use of transversality in policies, with emphasis on institutional conditions, and finally, it is aimed, through the results found, to subsidize the improvement of public policies for people with disabilities in RN.
