Resumo:This monograph explores literary productions on Twitter through the genre of microfiction. Its objective is to investigate whether ambiguity is a typical characteristic of microfiction on Twitter and whether it is used as a textual tool. The theoretical framework adopted is based on the works of Paparoto (2013) and Silva and Couto (2022) in the field of digital textual genre of microfiction; Garcia (2007) in normative grammar; Orlandi (2012) and Pacheco (2014) in Discourse Analysis, and Gomes and Sanchez-Mendes (2018) and Cançado (2008) in semantics and ambiguity. The methodology employed is descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative, following Gil's approach (1991), with the selection of four profiles: @gustavocarmo2, @MarcosMairton, @magnoreisand, and @ZorGabor, for the analysis of the quantity of tweets with ambiguity and how it is incorporated into the text. The selection of profiles was based on the publication date of the three latest tweets with the hashtag #microcontos until May 1st, 2023. The results reveal that ambiguity can be considered an intrinsic characteristic of microfiction on Twitter, as three out of the four analyzed profiles presented ambiguity in at least one production.
