Resumo: | The aging of the Brazilian population has been a debated subject in various fields of knowledge in recent years, as the increase in the number of elderly individuals in the country requires a set of policies and actions targeted towards this population. Given this fact, it becomes necessary to design increasingly inclusive spaces that contribute to the quality of life of the elderly. Seeking to highlight the relationship between the elderly population and the built environment, this final undergraduate project aimed to develop a preliminary study of a Day Center for the elderly based on the principles of ambiance, aiming to promote the well-being and health of its users. The execution of the project included a literature review on the subject matter and reference studies based on precedents with a similar function or possible relation to the project's context. For the conception of the building, studies were conducted on the constraints associated with the intervention site, followed by the process stages with a focus on ambiance elements. As a result, the proposed structure is characterized by a configuration of activity blocks and a central socialization area, seeking integration and stimulation for the users' well-being and social interaction. The project aimed to create a welcoming place for the users and a safe environment for their families and involved professionals. |
