description This study aimed to analyze the importance of the family in complying with the socioeducational measure of assisted freedom for adolescents who commit crimes. Specific objectives were established, such as identifying the causes that lead adolescents to commit infractions, discussing the challenges for implementing socio-educational measures in an open environment, demystifying stereotypes and stigmas associated with juvenile offenders and their families, and examining how families and adolescents are observed by the State, in addition to discussing the attributions of social work in this context. a qualitative approach with an emphasis on bibliographical and documentary research. Reference authors and documents were used, as well as internship reports, field diaries, intervention projects and material already prepared, such as books and scientific articles. The study began with a historical retrospective highlighting the paradigm shift with the implementation of the Child and Adolescent Statute - ECA these criminal acts. Social Assistance has been discussed since its implementation as a public policy, as well as the role of Social Service and its attributions in the process of socioeducational measures of probation. The results obtained were consistent with the proposed objectives. By analyzing the history that preceded the enactment of the ECA, which guarantees the fundamental rights of children and adolescents, it was possible to understand the complex relationship between the family and the adolescents who commit crimes. The relationship between social assistance and social work, highlighting the socio-historical boundaries that influence this interaction. The importance of understanding the social and structural conditions that contribute to the involvement of these adolescents in criminal acts was highlighted, as well as the need for policies and programs that strengthen family ties and promote resocialization. The analysis of the body responsible for implementing the socioeducational measure in an open environment revealed the challenges and difficulties faced in implementing the National System of Socio-Educational Assistance (SINASE). The final considerations emphasize the importance of facing the existing challenges, such as the lack of investments and the need for intersectoral action, to guarantee the effectiveness of socioeducational measures. The integration between services and the promotion of guaranteeing social rights are essential for effective rehabilitation. Recognizing the importance of the family, understanding its challenges and offering adequate support are essential elements in this process. In conclusion, the study contributed to the understanding of the importance of the family in complying with the socio-educational measure of assisted freedom for adolescents who commit crimes. The results obtained reinforce the need for policies and programs that strengthen family ties and promote the resocialization of these adolescents. The integration between the family, the socio-educational system and the support network can play a significant role in reducing the recidivism of these adolescents.

O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar a importância da família no cumprimento da medida socioeducativa de liberdade assistida por adolescentes autores de atos infracionais. Foram estabelecidos objetivos específicos, como identificar as causas que levam os adolescentes a cometerem atos infracionais, discutir os desafios para a efetivação da medida socioeducativa em meio aberto, desmistificar estereótipos e estigmas associados aos adolescentes infratores e suas famílias, e examinar como as famílias e os adolescentes são observados pelo Estado, além de discutir as atribuições do serviço social nesse contexto.A pesquisa foi embasada na realidade vivenciada no Centro de Referência Especializado de Assistência Social no município de São Gonçalo do Amarante - RN, durante o estágio curricular obrigatório, e adotou uma abordagem qualitativa com ênfase em pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Foram utilizados autores e documentos de referência, bem como relatórios de estágio, diários de campo, projetos de intervenção e material já elaborado, como livros e artigos científicos. O estudo iniciou com uma retrospectiva histórica destacando a mudança de paradigma com a implementação do Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente- ECA A problemática dos adolescentes autores de atos infracionais e suas famílias analisou sua relação com questões sociais e econômicas e compreender os fatores que contribuem para esses atos infracionais. Assistência Social foi discutida desde sua implementação como política pública, assim como o papel do Serviço Social e suas atribuições no processo de medida socioeducativa de liberdade assistida. Os resultados obtidos foram coerentes com os objetivos propostos. Ao analisar a história que precedeu a promulgação do ECA, que assegura os direitos fundamentais das crianças e adolescentes, foi possível compreender a complexa relação entre a família e os adolescentes autores de atos infracionais. A relação entre a assistência social e o serviço social, destacando as delimitações sócio-históricas que influenciam essa interação. A importância de compreender as condições sociais e estruturais que contribuem para o envolvimento desses adolescentes em atos infracionais foi ressaltada, bem como a necessidade de políticas e programas que fortaleçam os laços familiares e promovam a ressocialização. A análise do órgão responsável pela implementação da medida socioeducativa em meio aberto revelou os desafios e dificuldades enfrentados para a efetivação do Sistema Nacional de Atendimento Socioeducativo (SINASE). As considerações finais enfatizam a importância de enfrentar os desafios existentes, como a falta de investimentos e a necessidade de atuação intersetorial, para garantir a efetividade das medidas socioeducativas. A integração entre os serviços e a promoção de garantia de direitos sociais são fundamentais para uma ressocialização efetiva. Reconhecer a importância da família, compreender seus desafios e oferecer suporte adequado são elementos essenciais nesse processo. Em conclusão, o estudo contribuiu para a compreensão da importância da família no cumprimento da medida socioeducativa de liberdade assistida por adolescentes autores de atos infracionais. Os resultados obtidos reforçaram a necessidade de políticas e programas que fortaleçam os laços familiares e promovam a ressocialização desses adolescentes.
