Resumo:This study aimed to analyze the importance of the family in complying with the socioeducational measure of assisted freedom for adolescents who commit crimes. Specific objectives were established, such as identifying the causes that lead adolescents to commit infractions, discussing the challenges for implementing socio-educational measures in an open environment, demystifying stereotypes and stigmas associated with juvenile offenders and their families, and examining how families and adolescents are observed by the State, in addition to discussing the attributions of social work in this context. a qualitative approach with an emphasis on bibliographical and documentary research. Reference authors and documents were used, as well as internship reports, field diaries, intervention projects and material already prepared, such as books and scientific articles. The study began with a historical retrospective highlighting the paradigm shift with the implementation of the Child and Adolescent Statute - ECA these criminal acts. Social Assistance has been discussed since its implementation as a public policy, as well as the role of Social Service and its attributions in the process of socioeducational measures of probation. The results obtained were consistent with the proposed objectives. By analyzing the history that preceded the enactment of the ECA, which guarantees the fundamental rights of children and adolescents, it was possible to understand the complex relationship between the family and the adolescents who commit crimes. The relationship between social assistance and social work, highlighting the socio-historical boundaries that influence this interaction. The importance of understanding the social and structural conditions that contribute to the involvement of these adolescents in criminal acts was highlighted, as well as the need for policies and programs that strengthen family ties and promote resocialization. The analysis of the body responsible for implementing the socioeducational measure in an open environment revealed the challenges and difficulties faced in implementing the National System of Socio-Educational Assistance (SINASE). The final considerations emphasize the importance of facing the existing challenges, such as the lack of investments and the need for intersectoral action, to guarantee the effectiveness of socioeducational measures. The integration between services and the promotion of guaranteeing social rights are essential for effective rehabilitation. Recognizing the importance of the family, understanding its challenges and offering adequate support are essential elements in this process. In conclusion, the study contributed to the understanding of the importance of the family in complying with the socio-educational measure of assisted freedom for adolescents who commit crimes. The results obtained reinforce the need for policies and programs that strengthen family ties and promote the resocialization of these adolescents. The integration between the family, the socio-educational system and the support network can play a significant role in reducing the recidivism of these adolescents.
