| Resumo: | With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, most institutions, public or private, had to adhere to social isolation, as this was the main means of combating the spread of the virus, and thus, making remote work a means to continue activities even at a distance, taking UFRN as an example. Thus, the general objective of this study would be to analyze the economic impacts caused by the pandemic, observing the expenses of the Center for Applicable Social Sciences at UFRN, in the period from 2018 to 2022, analyzing the management of the spending ceiling and how it would behave in this period. unusual time frame. Therefore, the survey of data from this period was the general expenses of the center, based on the official UFRN website. Thus, a descriptive and qualitative research was carried out, using documents made available by the CCSA itself, which are public access, as a data collection technique. In these contexts, the results achieved in relation to Consumables, Hiring of Labor and Other Current Expenses, had a considerable spending ceiling in their sectors, since they all influence the maintenance of the center and even without classes, it is a necessary investment. Regarding student aid, it is one of the most relevant investments, as it helped to keep students enrolled without dropping out, which is why several student aids were offered, resulting in investments even without classroom attendance. Finally, with regard to the Legal Entity Services graph, these are expenses related to the integral center, since it is presented as a legal entity, therefore, high costs are presented in the table. |
