A MÚSICA NA CENA: UMA EXPERIÊNCIA NA SONOPLASTIA
description The production of a theater performance involves various areas of knowledge. In this paper, I present a synthesis of the artistic and educational experiences that have shaped my journey as a student in the Theater Teaching program at UFRN (Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte) and have led me to study two closely related semantic fields: sound design and music in the theatrical context. Sound, as a material phenomenon that depends on space for its propagation, is one of the elements of scenography, and its presence in the production of a scene is a fascinating subject of study. Thus, in this papper, I present some syntheses that characterize my explorations as a Theater student in understanding the historical antecedents of sound elements in Western theater. I also discuss my perception about the importance of music in the theatrical context and, to engage in this discussion, I seek to comprehend the role performed by a sound designer. As a reflective exercise within my undergraduate thesis, I share some aspects of my journey in the Theater Teaching program, from the initial moments when I became interested in the art of sound design through the course "Music in the Scene," to the experiences of teaching theater and sharing some of this knowledge with the children I worked with during one of my internships. Furthermore, I recount an important experience I had while working on the sound design of the play "A Família Pinto," directed by Isaac Holdffer and Kael Lima. Through this experience, I was able to apply what I had learned and gain further insight into the role of sound in theater.

Apresento neste trabalho uma síntese das experiências artísticas e educativas que marcaram a minha trajetória como estudante no curso de Licenciatura em Teatro/UFRN e que me encaminharam para o estudo de dois campos semânticos muito próximos: a sonoplastia e a música na cena. O som, como fenômeno material que depende do espaço para sua propagação, é um dos elementos da cenografia e sua presença na produção de uma cena é um objeto de estudo fascinante. Assim, neste artigo, apresento algumas sínteses que caracterizam minhas buscas, como estudante de Teatro, para compreender os antecedentes históricos dos elementos sonoros da cena no teatro ocidental. Falo, também, da minha percepção acerca da importância que a música tem na cena e, na tentativa de me apropriar dessa discussão, busco compreender a função que é exercida por um sonoplasta. Como exercício reflexivo de um TCC, apresento um pouco de meu percurso nesta Licenciatura, desde os primeiros momentos em que fui me interessando pela arte da sonoplastia, por meio da disciplina ‘’Música na Cena’’, até quando, por meio de experiências de Ensino de Teatro, pude compartilhar com as crianças com quem trabalhei, em um de meus estágios curriculares, um pouco desses conhecimentos que aprendi nessa área. Relato, também, uma importante experiência que tive, trabalhando na sonoplastia da peça de teatro ‘’A Família Pinto’’, dirigida por Isaac Holdffer e Kael Lima.
